Darshn ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Darshn mobile application ("App"). If you do not agree with its terms, please discontinue use of the App.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: email address, display name, and password via Firebase Authentication.
- Fitness profile: age, height, weight, fitness goals, dietary preferences, and training history.
- Workout logs: exercises performed, sets, reps, weights, and session durations.
- Nutrition logs: food items, macro estimates, meal photos, and grocery lists.
- In-app settings: notification preferences, display settings, and developer flags.
2.2 Data Collected Automatically
- Usage data: screens visited, features used, and interaction timestamps.
- Crash reports and diagnostics: error logs, stack traces, and device metadata where enabled.
- Analytics events: aggregated events about feature usage.
2.3 Health & Fitness Data
With your explicit permission, Darshn reads data from Apple HealthKit, including workouts, active energy burned, steps, distance, movement data, heart rate, body measurements, and nutrition data you have logged in Apple Health.
HealthKit data is used solely to personalize your experience within Darshn and is never sold to third parties or used for ad targeting.

4. AI Recommendations Disclaimer
Darshn uses artificial intelligence, including Google Gemini, LLaVA fallback, and Gemma on-device, to generate fitness and nutrition recommendations. AI-generated recommendations are for informational and motivational purposes only and do not constitute medical, nutritional, or professional fitness advice.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional, registered dietitian, or certified personal trainer before making significant changes to your diet or exercise program.
5. Firebase Data Storage
Your data may be stored in Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Analytics. Firebase is operated by Google LLC. Google privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
7. Data Retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide services.
- Workout and nutrition logs are retained until you delete them in-app or request account deletion.
- HealthKit data is not stored persistently beyond the current session unless you explicitly log it within the App.
- Analytics data is retained according to Firebase standard retention schedules.
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including HTTPS/TLS, Firebase Security Rules, Firebase Authentication, and on-device inference for sensitive AI workloads where available. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Children's Privacy
Darshn is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or objection to certain processing. You may revoke HealthKit permissions at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Darshn.
California residents have CCPA rights. EU/EEA residents may have GDPR rights and may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the Last Updated date and, where appropriate, by in-app notification.
